Everywhere you go in Bangladesh it seems like you run into something related to a Brac program. If you happen to be roaming the countryside in Bangladesh you will run into a BRAC school at some point. Every Brac school looks almost identical, a small rectangle building with 4 foot high brick walls with the remainder of the walls and roof being made out of thatched or woven wood. The rooms are very simple, there are no desks and students work on the floor. Every school has a chalkboard and a teacher of course and all of the students have basic school supplies. It may not sound like much but in the end they have everything they need to learn: a teacher, a classroom, and some supplies.
The students in the Brac schools were remarkably eager to learn and very attentive. We visited several schools throughout our internship and in each case the Brac students were very interested in us.
